Contrary to popular belief, pursuing a medical education at a foreign institution is becoming a larger source of competent physicians in the United States. Those of us that have chosen to travel across the ocean with the hopes of obtaining our MD's have placed ourselves in an ideal environment which is conducive to study. The largest benefit that is unparalleled in the U.S. is the ability to learn about other cultures and see first hand that not everyone is afforded the oppurtunities that we take for granted. Here, there is a simple lifestyle that most everyone follows...just relax. Of course, in the fast-pace society that we are accustomed to, we would miss key opportunities at reaching our individual goals. In St. Lucia, you miss out if you move too fast.
